AI consultancy Northern Ireland

Turn AI interest into a practical business decision.

Galvia provides AI consultancy for Northern Ireland businesses that need to work out where AI and automation will create real value, what foundations are missing and what is actually worth implementing. We combine strategy with the software, data and integration engineering needed to move from an idea to a working system.

Belfast-based AI consulting for organisations across Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Sometimes the most useful AI consultancy recommendation is that the first project should not be AI at all.

AI in Northern Ireland

AI is already in the business. The harder question is what to do with it next.

Galvia's Northern Ireland AI Survey covered 202 businesses across all 11 council areas. The picture was not a lack of interest. It was widespread use without the same level of structure, measurement or integration.

83%

of surveyed Northern Ireland businesses said they were using AI in some form.

73%

said they had no formal AI policy, even as everyday use was spreading.

How we start

Start with the work. Then decide whether AI belongs in the solution.

The useful starting point is a workflow, customer problem or commercial objective. We map what happens today, what data and systems are involved, and what would count as a worthwhile result before choosing a technology.

  1. 01

Find the expensive or frustrating work

Identify repetitive tasks, bottlenecks, slow handoffs, customer friction, information gaps or new opportunities that are worth fixing.

  2. 02

    Test AI against simpler options

Decide whether the better route is generative AI, conventional automation, API integration, reporting, data improvement or process redesign.

  3. 03

    Scope a controlled first implementation

Define the smallest pilot that can prove value, the data it needs, the human oversight required and the measure used to decide whether to scale.

The objective is not an AI roadmap full of ideas. It is a prioritised decision about what is worth doing first and what should wait.

Where consultancy helps

Useful when the business has AI activity but no clear operating model around it.

AI strategy consultancy is most valuable when it connects business priorities to the real systems, data, people and risks underneath them.

01

Tools are spreading without ownership

Teams are using ChatGPT, Copilot or specialist tools, but there is no shared view of where they help, what data is being used or how value is measured.

02

A workflow looks automatable, but the route is unclear

The problem might need AI automation, ordinary rules, an API integration or better data rather than another standalone product.

03

There is an idea, but not yet a defensible pilot

The organisation needs to test feasibility, integration, risk, human oversight and a measurable commercial outcome before committing budget.

Local context, technical delivery

AI advice is more useful when the same team understands how the existing systems actually work.

Galvia is a Belfast software engineering and digital transformation company. We work across custom software, APIs, CRM integration, data, cloud, legacy systems and IoT, so an AI recommendation can be tested against the technology the business already relies on rather than treated as a separate innovation exercise.

What an engagement can cover

From AI strategy and opportunity mapping through to implementation.

Galvia can stop at a recommendation or continue into engineering. The scope depends on how clear the problem is and how much technical uncertainty sits underneath it.

AI strategy & opportunity mapping

Prioritise use cases around business value, feasibility, data, risk and the effort required to implement them.

AI automation consultancy

Assess repetitive workflows and decide where generative AI, rules-based automation or human review should sit in the process.

Data & AI foundations

Work through source data, quality, access and reporting gaps. Where the foundation is the real problem, see Data Analytics Consulting.

Integration & implementation

Connect AI-assisted workflows to the systems people already use through APIs, CRM, cloud and custom software. See API Integration and Custom Software Development.

Before you enquire

The practical questions.

What does an AI consultancy actually do?

It should help the organisation identify worthwhile use cases, understand the data and systems involved, assess risk and feasibility, and turn the best opportunity into a practical implementation plan rather than simply recommend AI tools.

Can Galvia help if we do not know where to start with AI?

Yes. We can begin with the workflows that consume time, create delays or limit capacity and then assess whether AI, conventional automation, integration or another change is the most sensible first route.

Do you only advise, or can you implement the solution?

Galvia can do both. We are a software engineering and digital transformation company, so where a recommendation needs APIs, data work, cloud, custom software or integration we can continue into implementation.

Do we need clean data before starting?

Not necessarily, but data quality and access can determine what is feasible. If the main blocker is fragmented or unreliable data, fixing that foundation may be more valuable than starting an AI pilot immediately.

Is generative AI always the answer?

No. Some problems are better solved with ordinary automation, system integration, reporting or process redesign. We treat that as a useful conclusion rather than a failed AI project.

Can you work with our existing CRM, ERP or legacy systems?

Yes. Galvia already works across CRM integration, APIs, cloud, data and legacy modernisation, so AI-assisted workflows can be designed around valuable existing systems instead of assuming everything needs replaced.

Do you work outside Northern Ireland?

Yes. Galvia is based in Belfast and works with organisations across Northern Ireland, Ireland and the wider UK, although this page is specifically focused on the Northern Ireland AI consultancy search and local business context.

How much does AI consultancy cost?

It depends on whether the work is a focused use-case review, wider opportunity mapping, technical feasibility, data investigation or an implementation project. We prefer to define the problem and useful first deliverable before giving a number that looks more precise than the evidence allows.

Tell us where AI might help

What work is taking too much time, creating too much friction or limiting growth?

Tell us what the team does today, which systems are involved and what outcome would make the change worthwhile. A rough description is enough for the first review.

  • A person reviews the opportunity before a call is arranged.
  • No passwords, API keys, sensitive customer records or confidential datasets in the form.
  • No work or fees are agreed by submitting this form.
